Fern Whelan
Former Lioness, Liverpool, Everton and Brighton footballer Fern, is now an established pundit for Sky Sports and the BBC. She is also the PFA’s first Women’s Football Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Executive.
Fern has become a regular face on Sky Sports coverage of the WSL, providing in depth analysis both in studio and pitch-side, and turned her hand to commentary with the BBC.
Alongside winning accolades such as FA Young Player of the Year and European Under-19’s Player of the Tournament, she has won the FA Cup, League Cup and competed in the Women’s Champions League.
Off the pitch, she is a qualified physiotherapist and a renowned public speaker, tackling topics about gender equality in elite sport.
