Pien Meulensteen

Pien is the lead female commentator on both Sky Sports and ITV Sport – she calls games in the Premier League, The Carabao Cup, The WSL and works on both men’s and women’s major tournament’s is recognised as one of the most exciting sports commentators and presenters in the UK and she is fast becoming one of the most recognisable and respected voices and faces in the industry.

New for the 2024/25 season will see Pien hosting the new EFL Goal Zone on Sky Sports, which is part of their Soccer Saturday output, every Saturday lunchtime at midday.

At just 28, Pien is already making history as the youngest and first ever female to call a live Premier League game on Sky Sports, which happened after her ITV debut at The Women’s World Cup in 2023. Born in the Netherlands, she is fluent in both Dutch and English, and has experience broadcasting in both languages whilst working for Dutch media.

After coming up the ranks through BBC, Pien is now also an established on-screen presenter, with credits that include DAZN, PLP, IMG, BBC, MUTV and CBS in America.
